In-Store Audio Advertising

Targeted audio advertisements broadcast through a retailer's in-store speaker system to influence shoppers at the point of purchase.

In-store audio advertising refers to the use of a retailer's in-store speaker and public address system to broadcast targeted audio advertisements, promotional announcements, and branded content to shoppers while they are actively shopping in the store.

Unlike visual digital signage, audio advertising reaches shoppers regardless of where they are looking, making it effective throughout the entire store — including aisles where screens may not be present. Audio advertising can be highly targeted by zone (different messages in different departments), time of day (dayparting), and day of week, allowing brands to reach shoppers with relevant messages at the moment of decision.

In-store audio advertising is a significant and often underutilised component of the retail media mix. When managed through a centralised retail media CMS, audio campaigns can be booked, scheduled, and reported on with the same rigour as digital screen campaigns, including proof-of-play reporting and audience measurement. The Adflux Audio module enables retailers to manage and monetise their entire in-store audio network alongside their digital screen network from a single platform.
